Make Mentora International Charter High School a reality in Brooklyn’s Community School District 21!
Mentora will be applying for a New York State charter in 2015, requesting permission to operate a public high school in Community School District (CSD) 21, which includes the diverse Brooklyn neighborhoods of Coney Island, Brighton Beach, and Bensonhurst. Mentora Charter will have high standards for academics and personal accountability, featuring extended day and extended year programming, opportunities for global interaction and/or travel, and technology integration for teaching and learning. Mentora will be a free secular public school open to all students, regardless of background or ability. Mentora plans to ultimately serve 400 students in grades 9 through 12, ideally opening in September 2016 with one 9th grade.
All parents deserve the chance to choose schools that reflect their values and desired education for their child. By signing this petition, you are telling New York State’s Department of Education that you want Mentora International Charter High School to open in your community.
Help us get to 250 petition signatures by March 15, 2015.
